Children's Business Fair
For one day, kids ages 5–13 sell products from their real businesses. They decide what to make, figure out what it costs, set their prices, talk to customers, and handle the money themselves. The fair is free and open to the public, and kid entrepreneurs from across the community are welcome to sell.
Plant three seeds
Passion: what do you love making? Customers: who would buy it?
Profit: what will you do with the money?
Build it yourself
Test an idea, count your costs, set a price, design a sign, and practice a pitch. Parents can drive and supply, but kids make the decisions.
Sell it on June 5
Run your booth, talk to real customers, make change, and find out what you'd do differently next time.

A note for parents
The best thing you can do is step back. Help with safety, rides, and supplies, and lend startup money if your child asks. Let your child do the selling and handle the money, even when it would be faster to do it for them. A few mistakes on fair day are part of how kids learn.
